I have these in a size 2 since the pocketless version runs big ( I normally would be a size 4). Lulu describes the Aligns also as buttery soft and “weightless.” These are a slightly higher rise than Aerie’s and go well above my belly button ( and stay there). Additionally, they have multiple cropped lengths and even shorts.
Lululemon: Offered in 3 lengths: 25″, 28″ ( what I have) and select colors in 31″. I included some of those styles in my shoppable round-up below. Aerie describes the fabric as ultra-lightweight and buttery smooth and I completely agree. They are high-waisted and hit me right below my belly button. I am a bit taller (5’9″) and didn’t want them to be too short, so I ordered them in a Small Long, making them 27″. The regular length of these leggings is 25″, making them 7/8 length.

I knew if I tried them, I would fall in love and I did not want to become dependent on such a pricey legging! But alas, I am weak and I eventually gave in. It didn’t help that my yoga studio carries Lululemon, so the $98 leggings were there to taunt me every time I would take or teach a class. As a frequent wearer of leggings, long-time yogi, and recent yoga teacher, I could only avoid the temptation of Lululemon’s buttery soft Align Leggings for so long.
